Parent account controls
Request deletion of your BrightSteps-X account.
A parent or guardian can request deletion here without installing the Android app or signing in. This starts a manual support request; opening this page does not delete anything.
How to submit a request
- Email jalaljanjua88@gmail.com from the email address registered to the parent account, with the subject "BrightSteps-X account deletion request".
- Say whether you want the entire parent account and all associated child profiles deleted, or only specified child profiles or data. Do not send passwords, child PINs, photos, or identity documents.
- Support will verify ownership of the adult account before acting and contact you if further verification is needed. Your request is not complete until the email has been sent. Support will confirm when deletion has been completed.
Data covered by full account deletion
The request covers parent account details and credentials, associated child profiles and access credentials, learning progress, bookmarks, preferences, private custom stories, uploaded hero photos, and associated generated private media.
Retention and exceptions
Data remains in the service while ownership is being verified and the request is processed. Limited security, abuse-prevention, quota, or legally required records may need to be retained separately. Backup copies may remain until the normal backup cycle completes. Support will explain any applicable retained records, reason, and additional retention period when responding to your request; this page does not promise immediate or automatic deletion.
Delete selected data without closing the account
From the parent dashboard, open a child's progress and settings to delete individual custom stories or remove the hero photo. For other partial deletion requests, use the same email process and specify what to delete. Do not include unnecessary information about a child.
